On May 17, 2016, the Wyandanch Fire Company responded to a fire at the Dinette Factory on Wyandanch Avenue. Upon arrival, units encountered heavy fire showing, and the requested mutual aid from Deer Park, North Babylon, West Babylon, Lindenhurst and East Farmingdale as well as from the Wyandanch Wheatley Heights Ambulance Corps. Four tower ladders were used to knock down the fire, which was being fueled by varnishes and wood glue.
