The Lancaster Township Fire Department was dispatched on December 29, 2017, for an MVA with entrapment in the 1400 block of Marietta Avenue. Manheim Township police responded and discovered a person was trapped. The SUV left the roadway and crashed into a large tree, landing down an embankment off the roadway. Blue Rock Rescue 905 (Millersville) was requested to assist. The driver side doors were removed while firefighters stabilized the vehicle from below. The patient was extricated 20 minutes after arrival of the and transported to the hospital by Lancaster EMS.
