Denver Fire Department hosts Mile High Scout Force for the

Girls Scouts of Colorado

Denver, CO – September 24 th , from 8a-4p, The Denver Fire Departments Community Risk
Reduction (CRR) Team is hosting an event for The Girls Scouts of Colorado, called Mile High
Scout Force. This event will be held at the Denver Fire Training Facility (5440 Roslyn St, Bldg. F.,
Denver, CO) and will include fire safety education, career exploration in various fields, and
merit badge attainment opportunities.

The overall desire of our CRR program is to provide a fire safety educational opportunity that
young people can take back to their communities. This will help us as we continue to work on
ways to reduce risks in local neighborhoods. Our CRR Team is committed to ensuring that we
are reaching and including kids from our city’s diverse population and boosting support in our
underserved communities. About 100-200 youth in grades K-12 will be participating from across
the Denver Metro Area at no cost to them.
