On June 12, 2016, Cumberland County Box 12-09 summoned companies to Ravenwood Road in Lower Allen Township for a deck fire. A first-alarm assignment consisted of Engines 12 (Lower Allen), 23 (Upper Allen) and 22 (Shiremanstown); Truck 12 (Lower Allen); and Rescues 12 (Lower Allen) and 30 (Hampden Township). Engine 1-12 arrived and laid a supply line to side A and led off with deck gun operations. Heavy fire involved the rear of the two-story, unoccupied dwelling and Command 12 requested defensive operations. Multiple handlines and aerial operations from Truck 12 knocked down the bulk of the fire in about 30 minutes with extensive overhaul required.
