New Hackensack firefighters assisted by Hughsonville, East Fishkill, Town of Wappinger-EMStar Medics, and the NY State Police, operated at a fire in a bungalow on Herczeg Drive early on February 7, 2017. The fire began in three-foot high crawl space making access difficult. Firefighters also had to chase the fire through the walls to complete extinguishment. Fortunately, the building and its contents received relatively minor damage.
