Schenectady firefighters were confronted with a car fire that spread to a house on Dewitt Street after a drunk driver hit two parked cars and a utility pole, then fled on foot. All occupants of the house escaped safely and the driver was apprehended a few blocks away. He was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
