The Copiague Fire Department was alerted for a house fire at Dante Avenue and Great Neck Road. Captain Holzwarth arrived to fire showing from the first floor of a two-story home. Crews stretched and operated two lines, as the crews from Ladder 1-3-4 and Amityville 1-1-5 laddered, vented and searched the home. Additional mutual aid to the scene was provided by Lindenhurst and North Amityville. The fire was brought under control within an hour.
