On August 3, 2015, Engine 6 arrived to a wall of fire at a Paul Street address. A mid-sized SUV caught fire in a carport and extended to exposure B and D. Exposure B was a single, story wood frame ranch and Exposure D was a 1-1/2 story wood framed residence with a lightweight-construction addition to the rear. Exposure B’s Delta side wall was fully involved with extension to the attic and Exposure B’s Bravo side wall was also fully involved with heavy extension into the second floor and attic of both the main house and addition.
A second alarm was struck due to the heavy fire conditions. Live power lines were also down on the ground hampering the attack. Windy conditions also fanned the fire in Exposure B’s attic. Heavy fire destroyed the trussed roof addition section of the house. Several exterior lines and two ladder pipes brought the fire under control in about two hours.
