On July 22, 2016, the Nesconset Fire Department was activated for a reported commercial structure fire at the Wendy’s on Middle Country Road. Upon arrival, units found an active fire in the kitchen. Mutual aid was requested from St. James, Hauppauge, Centereach, Smithtown, Kings Park and Nissequogue. The fire was quickly knocked down without further incident. No injuries were reported.
