Fire and smoke billowed from a fifth-floor apartment in the C building of Parkview Apartments in Collingswood. Three alarms were struck as, in addition to fire suppression, numerous residents were unable to exit the building due to smoke in the upper floors. Numerous area companies responded. The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes and there were no significant injuries.
