Colchester (CT) fire and Yantic FAST, was dispatched to Chestnut Hill Road for a large barn fire. Before arrival the second alarm was requested, bringing in tankers. First arriving units found the barn heavily involved with a partial collapse. Crews stretched several lines about 300 feet to the rear of the home. Due to the conditions on arrival the fire was fought defensively. Mutual aid came from Bozrah, Gardner Lake, Hebron, Oakdale, Marlborough and East Hampton.
