On November 25, 2023, Charlotte Fire Department Station 24 responded to an MVA on Vista Grande Circle in South Charlotte. Upon arrival, firefighters found a four-door sedan which slammed into the side of single-story home. Under the command of Charlotte Battalion Chief Greg Hildreth, a technical rescue box was added due to questionable structural integrity of the home. Firefighters from Rescue 10 and Station 24 winched the sedan from the home and began shoring up the huge hole caused by the crash. The driver was uninjured and refused transport by EMS. Fire officials confirmed a teenager was asleep in the bedroom of the home when the car slammed into it. Miraculously the teen was also uninjured.
