On the morning of September 9, 2026, the Bethpage Fire Department, along with resources from the Nassau County Police Department operated on the scene of an MVA with entrapment on Stewart Avenue off Arumdaun Street. An SUV left the road, struck a pole, which split part of the vehicle open before it came to rest against the Bethpage Fire Department Station 4 firehouse. There was one vehicle involved in the accident with only the driver inside and once extricated the driver was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
