On July 21, 2016, the Paterson Fire Department responded to East 24th Street for a reported car fire. Upon arrival, first-due companies found a fully involved car fire, which had extended to two homes. The owner of the car did not own either house, and it was unknown why the car was pulled into the driveway. Companies made an aggressive first push but were backed out due to the heavy fire load in the main structure where fire soon self vented through the A-side roof. Companies where able to work on the interior of the Bravo exposure to contain that fire. Twenty-five residents were living in the main fire building.
