On July 22, 2016, the Bellport Fire Department was activated for a residential structure fire on Colonial Lane. Upon arrival, commanding units found smoke showing from the first-floor bedroom. Mutual aid was requested from Hagerman. The fire was quickly knocked down by first-due crews without further incident. No injuries were reported. Command requested a fire marshal to the scene to investigate.
