Two MacArthur High School students escaped injury when a car trying to beat the light on Wantagh Avenue and Old Jerusalem Road lost control, jumped the curb and crashed through the school yard parking lot fence. The young men were sitting in their car having their lunch when the accident occurred. Four cars sustained damage. Wantagh firefighters, along with Nassau County Police responded to the incident. The cars were stabilized and the young men were examined due to the air-bags in their vehicle having deployed. The driver of the car was RMA.
