The Clifton Fire Department was dispatched to Summer Street for an attic fire, and the Passaic Fire Department received calls for smoke coming from the same address, which was on the border of both districts. Companies arrived to smoke showing from a large 2-1/2 story wood frame in Clifton. Engine 1 stretched a line to the attic while Ladder 3 conducted vertical ventilation. Crews from both departments operated on scene as the fire was placed under control within 20 minutes.
