On February 6, 2017, members of the Bridgehampton Fire Department were called to an area of woods off of Old Sag Harbor Road in Noyac for a brush fire. Arriving units discovered not only the woods burning, but many assorted items in the back yard of a residence on fire, as well. While obtaining a steady water supply took some time, including mutual aid in the form of a tanker from Sag Harbor, the flames were extinguished in relatively short order.
