On June 13, 2016, Providence (RI) firefighters responded to the master box at the Roger Williams Park Carriage House. Engine 10 arrived first and reported heavy fire showing from a commercial garage. Ladder 5 arrived and transmitted a second alarm and ordered all companies to begin a defensive attack. Numerous chemicals and propane tanks were known to be stored in the garage. Extremely low water pressure hampered firefighting efforts, but crews were able to locate a draft site and establish a positive water source. Numerous large lines and ladder pipes knocked down the fire. Crews remained on scene for several hours to completely extinguish the fire. Four firefighters were taken to RIH with unknown injuries. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
