On May 20, 2016, the Jericho Fire Department responded to multiple calls for a house fire on Fern Drive west of Jericho Turnpike. Arriving units found a large, two-story home well involved with two people injured. The fire went to a fourth alarm and one woman was transported to NUMC with burns and smoke inhalation, the other refused medical attention. The home was totally destroyed and the cause is under investigation.
