On August 4, 2016, Main Transit crews were alerted for a house fire on Oakwood Drive in Amherst. The fire started in a car, spread to the carport and house, and eventually the house next door. Low water pressure hampered crews as the fire went to three alarms. Mutual aid came from Harris Hill, Williamsville, Snyder, East Amherst (FAST), Bowmansville (coverage) and East Amherst (coverage).
