On September 29, 2016, a New Jersey Transit commuter train blasted through a barrier and crashed into a terminal wall, injuring over 100 and killing one Hoboken woman. The crash happened at 0845 during the height of the morning rush. The NTSB and Federal Railroad Administration were investigating the crash.
