TRANSCAER’S Northeast Training Tour

Tuesday, July 1st, 2014, 4:16 pm

From April 28 to 30, 2014, members from several area fire departments converged on the North Haven (CT) Rail Yards on Universal Drive for a free one-day class. The training that brought over 150 first responders is known as TRANSCAER’S Northeast Training Tour and it was developed and administered by TRANSCAER. The focus of the class was chlorine safety and emergency response to chlorine tank cars. The training included hands-on workshops and classroom instruction, as well as A, B, and C-Kit workshops. Certificates were awarded upon completion.
