Plainfield 2-Alarmer

Sunday, February 11th, 2018, 11:59 am

On November 2, 2017, a fire, believed to have originated on the rear porch of a dwelling, extended into the attic. The construction of the house played a part in the rapid extension. Firefighters worked for over an hour to bring the fire under control. They were able to rescue the family’s dog during searches. One occupant was home at the time of the fire and was able to exit before arrival of the companies. A second alarm was transmitted bringing additional resources from Scotch Plains, North and South Plainfield, Fanwood and Mountainside.
