Collapse at Clifton Park Blaze

Monday, October 16th, 2017, 6:49 pm

Firefighters battled a multiple alarm fire on State Route 9 in the Saratoga County town of Clifton Park after flames destroyed the Bow Wow Park dog facility. A huge column of heavy smoke could be seen for miles as first arriving apparatus arrived, going into defensive operations after the roof caved in. One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion as the temperature hovered around 80 degrees. The building, that used to be Giffy’s BBQ, was being renovated into a dog day care facility and was still under construction. The cause was under investigation.
