Mutual Aid Needed at Wood Ridge MVA

At approximately 1630 hours on May 7, 2010, the Carlstadt Fire Department Rescue Company was dispatched on a mutual aid assignment to neighboring Wood Ridge.

Wood Ridge had requested that Carlstadt Rescue respond to Route 17, northbound, to assist at a motor vehicle crash involving a passenger car and a box truck. Upon arrival Wood Ridge Fire Chief Paul Clemente informed all responding units that the occupants of the vehicle had been removed and were being transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The Carlstadt Rescue was requested to continue into the scene to assist with stabilizing the vehicle and containing the vehicles fluids, which were leaking as a cause of the crash.
